How an implementation runs
One specialist, five stagesKickoff and review
We map what you run today — systems, spreadsheets, policies, the rules nobody has written down — and agree what has to be true on go-live day.
Model the organisation
Divisions, sites, cost centres and reporting lines are configured first, because every module and every access rule reads from that model.
Configure the process
Approval chains, leave and attendance policies, appraisal cycles, clearance checklists and role-based access, set to how you actually work.
Connect and validate
Biometric devices, identity and accounting connections are set up, then validated against a parallel run before anything is switched over.
Train and go live
HR and managers are trained on their own data, and the specialist stays through the first payroll run and the first month of approvals.
What a named specialist changes
One person holds the context
The specialist who heard your leave policy in week one is the one configuring it in week three. Nothing is re-explained, and no decision gets lost between handoffs.
Structure before data
Configuring the organisation model first is what prevents the most common rollout failure: a flattened hierarchy that quietly breaks approvals and access for everybody below the top level.
Go-live measured in days
Because Bhivo configures rather than customises, setup is a configuration exercise. One customer put it plainly: the team understood the requirement and got them live within hours, ahead of schedule.
Support through the first cycle
The questions that matter surface during the first payroll run and the first appraisal, not during training. That is exactly when the specialist is still with you.
The limits, stated up front
We do not hard-code special cases. If your process needs something the platform cannot configure, it gets built against real extension points through the services team so it survives upgrades — or we tell you it is not a fit. What we avoid is the shortcut that makes the platform worse for everyone including you.
We do not hand you to a partner mid-engagement. Implementation partners are available through the partner programme if you prefer a local firm, but that is a choice you make at the start rather than a surprise in week four.
And we do not go live on unreconciled data. If a leave balance or a salary component does not match the report you already trust, we would rather find it during migration than in your first pay run.
